Scotland Forum 2026
The Scotland Forum gives members practical insight into the issues most likely to affect project delivery and commercial decision-making in Scotland.
For Utility-Scale members, the morning focuses on deliverability and planning certainty, with direct insight from NESO on Strategic Spatial Energy Planning and its implications for Scotland, alongside discussion of food security as a material planning consideration and wider planning issues. This will help developers understand emerging risks earlier and contribute evidence to Solar Energy Scotland’s work.
For Rooftop members, the afternoon focuses on issues closer to project delivery and operational risk, including SSE’s TIA update and a focused discussion on fire safety.
Both segments will also benefit from direct engagement with the Scottish Government, updates on Solar Energy Scotland’s political engagement, and policy and grid intelligence from SEUK.
Together, these sessions give members earlier visibility of developments that could affect their pipeline and an opportunity to help shape the industry response.
Overall, the Forum will help members reduce uncertainty, understand what is changing before it affects their business, and connect directly with the policymakers, system bodies and industry experts influencing the Scottish market.
